Trip News
Thank you so much to each one of you who prayed for Emma and I during our three week trip. It was a very full time and we needed all that extra strength to complete all that had to be done, including the curtain making! Seriously, it was amazing to be able to bless so many children and to see how well they are thanks to your ongoing care of them. Parents are so appreciative and some teenagers now come up to Joy and thank her for caring for them when they were little. Over the next few weeks I will share some of our stories but here are a few highlights.

First Fruits
So many children arrived at school with fruit or vegetables from their harvest to say thank you to us for feeding the vulnerable families in the famine. It was wonderful to see that no-one had taken it for granted and that no-one saw it as their right but something that they wanted to value and appreciate. We really did impact communities over those four months with God's unconditional love. Some parents remarked on how we did not discriminate but helped anyone in need. Thank you for making that happen.

Curtains make a home!
Alice, the tailor from Kisozi, made 19 curtains for us over the course of the trip and I am happy to say that Mirembe looks more homely now than it did when we arrived. Our solar lanterns got us through the 7 nights without power and the little gas camping stove churned out omelettes on a daily basis! It was lovely to be living once more in the village - much more relaxing and less tiring.
