Slow Food Calgary
Are you someone who is always active and on the go? Or would you rather take things a little slow?

In this "Slow Food/Fast Feet" issue, we hope to have something for everyone!

June is the start of race season in Calgary, and we have tips on how to best fuel your fast feet to help you achieve your personal best and beat out the competition. Want to learn more? FitNut Founder Lindy Kennedy is teaching a Sport Nutrition course on Friday, June 10 in Lethbridge. Check out the Sport Medicine Council of Alberta website for more details and to sign up!

June is also when more and more local produce starts rolling into grocery stores and farmers' markets. Although the focus of the Slow Food movement is not on nutrition, we think that adopting a diet that's based on natural, local, seasonal and sustainable foods can do wonders for your health and also that of the environment.

Finally, we show you how to combine these two worlds with this month's recipe - Chicken with White Beans and Tomatoes. When made with local ingredients, it's the perfect Slow Food for Fast Feet!

To Your Health,

Your FitNut Consulting Team
