Anselma's Transformation
Ten years ago a goiter began growing in Anselma's neck. She could not afford the surgery that doctors told her she needed, and the local healers and herbal remedies provided no relief. Over ten years, the goiter grew to the size of a cantaloupe. Eating, drinking, and breathing were more difficult each day. Eventually, she knew she would suffocate. Safe Water Saves Lives Campaign: We did it!
We made our goal of raising $10,000 which will be matched by generous donors Bob and Judy. A new water system will be constructed this year to provide clean water for hundreds in the village of El Hormiguero, Nicaragua.
