Nominations have opened for the 2012 Sydney University Law Society Executive.

Nominations must be on the prescribed form which can be obtained by visiting http://suls.org.au/node/159 or contacting the Electoral Officer, Patrick Bateman, on 0411 742 302 or election@suls.org.au. 

Nominations should be scanned and emailed to election@suls.org.au. Nominations may also be lodged at the SULS office from 1-2pm on Thursday 22 September 2011.

Close of Nominations will be 5pm 30 September 2011.

The commencement of election campaign will be 8am, Monday 3rd October 2010 with the ballot draw at the SULS Office.

Voting will be held from 11am to 4pm at the SULS Office on Monday 17 October and Tuesday 18 October.

The spending cap for this year's election shall be not more than $1000 for a ticket or $133 for a candidate running as an individual. All candidates will be required to meet spending disclosure requirements or risk disqualification.

If you are interested in being part of the SULS Executive in 2012 you are encouraged to send an email to this year's President Geoffrey Winters at president@suls.org.au.

If you are interested in running as part of a ticket but are unsure of who to speak to, we will be able to put you in contact with those students who are currently forming tickets. Alternatively, if you are interested in putting together a ticket, by forwarding your details to us we will be able to direct interested students to you. It is hoped that this process will enable the election to be as inclusive as possible, with all interested students having an opportunity to get involved.
