In London there are 1.4 million Deaf or Disabled people, an ‘organisation which has come to my attention is Inclusion London they provide policy, campaigning and capacity-building support for Deaf and disabled people’s organisations. as you may or may not know in London it will soon be time to vote for a new mayor, and so Inclusion London have arranged an event called a Mayoral Hustings. this event allows peple to voice their views andquestions to candidates. On disability issues. This is there website http://www.inclusionlondon.co.uk/

NAS and Axcis Education Roadshow I have been really privileged to be asked to speak at the NAS education roadshow in Exeter which was sponsored by Axcis. It was a really interesting event with lots of great speakers including Louise Albert from the NAS who I thought gave a really great presentation on Signs of Anxiety, and actually how complex it is and how its important to do the right thing at the right time and how individual people are.
It was also very nice to hear about the creativity that has been coming from beechwod college and to hear Gina Davies fun social skill classes, Which involved motivators, this is s important because too often it seems that some subjects end up being taught in a dull way which are not motivating to the person with autism.
Also there was a talk from Kath and Chris from the Sensory integration network, `Sensory issues have been under appreciated as to what an effect they can have on a persons life and its great to see the work SI are doing to get this better understood
