A look at natural  pond creation. A stimulating insight into the adventure of creating a watery wildlife wonderland. A talk that offers advice on the right depths and profiles, choosing the right materials, location and planting schemes and a look at the plethora of life that you can enjoy when all the hard work is over!

You don't have to be in the process of developing a pond to enjoy this lively talk, it's a great way to learn about pond habitats. Children will also enjoy this talk as Richard also specializes in teaching children about wildlife habitats. We hope to hold the talk by the garden pond pending good weather. Richard is also a leading expert on wormeries and we hope to have him back in the Autumn with some worms!

What Is Forest Gardening?

This should appeal to everyone. It’s  a very deceptive title because it  has nothing to do with gardening in a forest! It’s got more to do with foraging food from your garden all year round and the principles can be applied to every garden small or large. There are a number of titles we could give it, take your pick:
Low maintenance edible landscaping
Edible perennials
Multi layered no dig gardening
Growing food in a "guild"
Agroforestry or permaculture.
