Quest Camp 2011
Is In The Books!
On September 30th at about 3pm, everyone loaded up to make the drive down to Mangrove Mountain for the annual Quest Youth and Young Adults Camp. On September 30th at about 3am, I was being wiped out by a stomach flu. Unfortunately, I was only able to make it to camp for one evening, but that didn't stop the other 50 people from having a great weekend.

Possible New Ministry
Last Sunday after church, we had a planning meeting for next year to talk about our goals. One of the things we discussed was the possibility of starting a new cafe ministry. This would not be any sort of business, just a ministry that was focused on creating an environment that was welcoming, comfortable, and conducive to discussion. At this point in time it is just an idea, but we are asking that you be in prayer for this as we are looking for creative ways to meet the needs of our own church members as well as reach out to our community.
Prayers for Josiah
Josiah and Cynthia have both been struggling with allergies recently. Josiah woke up the other morning with his lips and cheeks swollen so we are not sure what caused that and might need to look at some sort of regular allergy medicine for him.
Also, Josiah's is officially registered to start school next January. Because we are not Australian residents, school is a lot more expensive. This added expense will put an extra strain on our budget next year. Please be in prayer about a special donation for Josiah's school expenses and we will let you know soon exactly what our needs and expenses will be.
Christmas
Christmas is creeping up fast - even faster when there is no Halloween or Thanksgiving! Just like in the States, Christmas is one of the only times in the year a non-Christian family might go to church. We will be planning a small chilren's program in hopes to get some of the moms & families from the other ministries to attend. Please keep this outreach opportunity in your prayers as the holiday season approaches.

Some of you have asked about Christmas gifts for us or the kids. We will send out another Christmas newsletter soon to let you know the details for this if you are interested.
Thank you all so much for your love and support. As always, we appreciate everything you do for us and our ministry work here in Australia.
