University of Maryland's Basketball Performance Center and Van Munching project completed

November 17, 2011 - Kalmia is putting the final touches on University of Maryland's Basketball Performance Center located in the Comcast Center. Over the years Kalmia has completed over 50 projects for the University of Maryland.

These projects all require a strong understanding of how to work on campus and within the State Government system.  Unlike some other projects, working on a campus requires increased levels of security and student/faculty member’s safety.  The quality of work is important but protecting the campus environment has been a critical element to our long term success in working with the University of Maryland.

Below is another picture of a recent project at University of Maryland.  Like all other campus jobs, the Van Munching project required us to work within tenant occupied spaces.  This project featured high end mill work and because of the high traffic area we needed to employ dust control measures with temporary partitions to separate tenants from our construction project.   Kalmia understands how to work in tenant occupied spaces.
