FIRST NEWS OF 2012

The twenty-second annual NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES - the largest and most beloved STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world - returns to New York City's HIGHLINE BALLROOM on May 11. NOTS 22: DREAMS UNWIND was inspired by the instantly iconic MOONLIGHT (A VAMPIRE'S DREAM) from last year's STEVIE release IN YOUR DREAMS (and its campy, fanged, gorgeous, owl-heavy video.) The 2012 edition also pays homage to Stevie's many dream-laced songs and references, most famously the FLEETWOOD MAC opus DREAMS, and the Stevie mantra "Dreams Unwind", borrowed from RHIANNON.

Our full bill will be announced in early March, but already scheduled to perform are show favorites BELLADONNA (CALIFORNIA), THE HO-HOs, POISON EVE and DARLINDA JUST DARLINDA, JAZMEN FLOWERS (MISSISSIPPI), AMBER MARTIN, VANGELINE THEATER, harpist MIA THEODORATUS with LA KONGA RUSSE, GYPSY WILDE, CHARLENE CORAN (COLORADO), MACHINE DAZZLE and DARRELL THORNE of THE PIXIE HARLOTS, THE DIVINE GRACE, BILLY O and LADY ZOMBIE. New interpretations will come from THE CRYSTAL ARK (GAVIN RUSSOM and VIVA RUIZ) and several other 2012 debuts (visit the NOTS website for information on applying as a new performer through March 1). ENCHANTRESSES OF CEREMONY will include show founder CHI CHI VALENTI and NOTS eminence HATTIE HATHAWAY, and the "all-Stevie, all-Fleetwood" DJ roster features NOTS legends CRAIG SPENCER and SAMMY JO, along with VJ TRE (D.C.) sharing original STEVIE NICKS multimedia and rare clips for the first hour.

NEXT WEEK AT THE NEW XL IN TIMES SQUARE

The first part of the new hotel project OUT NYC is a BIG (think ROXY-sized) spanking new gay dance club/theater in Times Square, helmed by JOHN BLAIR, BRANDON VOSS and TONY FORNABAIO. Johnny will play two of the XL opening nights next week. He kicks off the future-tinged, pop-heavy Tuesday PLAY HARD on January 31, along with SHERRY VINE, KRYSTAL SOMETHING-SOMETHING, DJ RICARDO and more conspirators. Then with longtime Vandam collaborators SUSANNE BARTSCH and KENNY KENNY, he'll spin the opening night of their new Thursday 42ND on February 2, with AMANDA LEPORE (natch!), darkling KAYVON ZAND and many more of the fabulous flocks.

DWORLD DANCE PARTY

After the resounding success of his recent SNOW BALL at HOUSE OF YES, King of inspired Gay Nightlife DANIEL NARDICIO and the cast of DWORLD return with this uber dance party at one of Gotham's most vibrant spaces. With host and boylesk wonder GO GO HARDER, DJ JOHNNY DYNELL, and fabulous male aerialists including AERIAL JOSH, plus cheap drinks and cover, this one is a sure shot! Unlike some of DN's raunchier offerings, this one would definitely be fun for some of the Motherlist's female subscribers too.
