AmeriCorps Impact Kit
Order the new
AmeriCorps Impact Kit, a portable version of the website with tools to help you raise awareness of AmeriCorps’ impact in your community. The kit is available for order and many of the pieces may be downloaded from

Nominate an AmeriCorps member, Alum or Program for the Service Impact Award
The
Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) seeks nominations for the Service Impact Award. The new Service Impact Award emphasizes the community and national contributions of service in addressing critical issues in the areas of disaster services, economic opportunity, education, environmental stewardship, healthy futures, and veterans and military families. Eligible nominees are current service participants and alumni, program directors or programs and initiatives funded through grants (or sub-grants) from the Corporation for National and Community Service.
Nominations are due by 11:59 p.m. EDT April 25, 2011.
The Prize includes round trip air fare, lodging, ground transportation, per diem for meals, and conference registration to attend the
National Conference on Volunteering and Service, June 6 - 8, 2011, in New Orleans, LA.

Host an AmeriCorps Roundtable with a Member of the Obama Administration
Between now and May 31st, Obama Administration officials will be participating in 100 Roundtables with Young Americans all across the country.
Visit the
Roundtable with Young Americans website to register your roundtable and request that a member of the administration attend. At the site you will also find a toolkit to help you plan your roundtable and obtain guidance on partnering with President Obama’s team.
This is a great way to share the impact of AmeriCorps with some very influential people. Also make sure to register for next week’s WebChat on ‘Engaging Your Elected Officials and VIPs’ for further guidance on how to hold a successful roundtable.
