Founder's Day Brunch
When: Saturday, March 10, 2012
Where: Hilton Sacramento Arden West
Yes, it is almost March which means we are in full gear preparing for Founder's Day. One change to be noted is that this is a Mother/Daughter event. What a great way to share Delta Gamma with your mother or daughter by bringing them to take part in Founder's Day. We will have raffle giveaways, the DG Boutique, and of course, the TOMS Trunk Show.

Collegiate Corner
Congrats to Delta Chi (UC Davis) and Delta Eta (Sac State) for having such a successful Fall recruitment that they will not be recruiting any new members this spring! Way to go ladies!!
Delta Chi has already had a number of events since the Winter Quarter began. They held a retreat at the chapter house this past weekend and had a fun 4-way exchange with Alpha Phi and two fraternities the weekend before. The seniors enjoyed meeting Delta Gamma and other Panhellenic alumnae at the Panhellenic Career night held in January. Thank you to all Sacramento Alumnae who represented DG at this great event!
Upcoming events:
March 12, 2012: Mark your calendar for a collumnae event with the fabulous ladies of Delta Chi at UC Davis. The event details will be finalized in February so keep an eye on our Facebook page and website for more information.
April 23, 2012: Greek Sing Prop Making Night with Delta Eta – Come help Delta Eta make fabulous props for their Greek Sing performance. This is a great and fun opportunity to help out the chapter and get to know the girls. Further details will be on the Facebook page and website early in April.
Do you LOVE Recruitment? If so, Delta Chi is looking for a new Recruitment Advisor!!! This is a wonderful opportunity to help out these fabulous ladies as they recruit some new fabulous members. If anyone is interested or knows someone who may be, please email Michelle, Delta Chi's ATC, at dgmichelle@gmail.com.

Sponsorship
It may not even be Spring yet, but for many high school seniors in our area the thought of college in the fall is at the top of their priority list. If you know of any women in the area headed to college in the fall, start thinking about their sponsorship forms now! Recruitment will begin before we know it and we do not want any women left behind. To find a sponsorship form please click here to find a copy.
Moms, Grandmas and Sisters...if you have not registered your legacies for the Anchor Girl program, do so now! Information on how to register your legacies for the Anchor Girl program are available here. This is a fun program that allows your legacies to find a deeper understanding of our values and make a connection with our fraternity (plus it's fun for you too!)

National Wear Red Day
Did you know that heart disease is still the No.1 killer of women, taking the life of 1 in 3 women each year? It claims more lives than the next three causes of death combined, including all forms of cancer.
Last year my dad had a heart attack and quadruple bypass surgery. I know risks for heart disease are in my genes. But I do what I can to prevent it. I eat fresh, nutritious foods and exercise daily. February is American Heart Month and I challenge you to know your risk for heart disease and take action to reduce your personal risk.
This Friday, February 3rd, please celebrate National Wear Red Day and wear RED to raise crucial awareness of the fight against heart disease in women. You can find tools you need to lead a heart-healthy life at www.goredforwomen.org.
I am passionate about preventing heart disease because of my family’s health history but I am also passionate about creating a healthier place for everyone to live, work and play. That’s why I work to pass public policies with the American Heart Association that will create healthier communities and prevent cardiovascular disease and stroke. You can be a voice for healthier communities too by joining our online grassroots network called You’re the Cure today.
Happy hearts and ITB,
Whitney Chamberlain
