Labtrac 2.1 Available

Following my initial email in July explaining the facilities that we were planning for Labtrac 2.1, I can now update you with the current situation. The software has been; developed, new items added to the list, been tested in-house and, from this week, will be installed at two Labtrac users who have agreed to act as ‘Beta’ test sites for the new software. They will run the new version past the October month-end to prove the software works fine in a fully functioning lab. Given that the month-end processes work fine then the software will be made available to all Labtrac users.

As there are over 100 labs to update individually this will be a lengthy task and will need to be planned with all concerned and, I imagine, could well take 8 – 10 weeks to complete. The good news is that the work will be done using the Internet so there will be no need to travel to each lab. The roll out will probably start in week commencing 21^stNovember.

The user documentation associated with the changes is available on the website so you can see the changes that will be available. If you can let me know which month you would prefer for the update (November, December, January, February) then I will do my best to accommodate your request.
