Hello,
We would like to kindly inform you that the first of a series of RHCA courses for RHEL version 6 is already available.
This course replaces the existing "Red Hat Enterprise Performance Tuning and System Monitoring" (RH442) course (based on RHEL 5.1). It has been redesigned to use real world "use cases" as a framework around which to discuss performance tuning issues, rather than to focus on individual computer subsystems one by one. The course touches on control groups ("cgroups"), the tuned adaptive tuning daemon, and new tools such as powertop and perf have been added, and the discussion of system performance is framed around 64-bit x86-64 systems running RHEL 6.
Course Content:
-
Tuning for use-case scenarios (e.g., HPC, large memory, database, fileserver, etc.)
-
Tuning for power consumption
-
Tuning virtual machines (host and guest)
-
Tuning memory and caches
-
Tuning CPU and memory utilization using cgroups
-
Gathering performance metrics and other data for tuning purpose
Check out the complete course outline.
Certification:
It is possible to pass the certification exam EX442 on the 5th day of the course. More info here
